This one is personal.
Coming into my 43rd year, I boldly declared freedom as the word over this next season.
And just like that—like clockwork—the enemy came with a plan to unravel it all.
Anxiety. Fear. Disinterest. Fatigue.
The fog was thick, and for a moment, I questioned everything I’d said yes to.
But I know now—that wasn’t coincidence.
That was warfare.
The moment you start walking boldly in purpose, the enemy scrambles to knock the wind out of your lungs. But here’s the thing: he doesn’t win unless you let him.
Fear is a spirit—and it is not from God.
Let’s go Bible for a moment:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
So I did what the Word says.
I didn’t ask fear to leave me alone.
I commanded it to.
Because I have authority as a daughter of the Most High.
And you do too.
See, purpose isn’t handed over without a cost. It won’t be neatly packaged, free of conflict.
It’s forged through the fires you face, the doubts you overcome, and the boldness you muster when you’re still trembling.
But I’m learning something new:
Even in the fog, my spark never went out—it was simply hidden behind the smoke.
And as the smoke cleared, I could see it again.
Burning brighter than before.
Fueled not by hustle or hype, but by peace.
The peace of God that guards my heart like a shield.
That’s where my spark lives.
That’s how I rise again.
And now, as I step into this next purpose-driven chapter, I don’t move in fear—I move in faith.
Because I know who walks with me.
And I know that freedom isn’t just a word over this year. It’s a banner.
Anchor Scripture:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
— John 14:27 (NIV)
Reflection Prompt:
What fire in you have you allowed to dim behind fear?
What would it look like to trust God fully and reignite that spark?
Call to Action:
If you've been walking through fear, distraction, or disconnection from your purpose—this is your reminder:
